YOU miss what I miss?
I miss jumping in the car with you
and going to get ice cream together for no special reason.
I miss Saturday afternoons in the summer when I’ve just
finished mowing the lawn and you’ve been doing the laundry,
and we decide to treat ourselves to a nice seafood dinner
instead of eating at home.
I miss throwing a few things
in a bag and heading out to the boat.
I miss making
plans together to go spend the weekend with our grandkids.
I miss cuddling up with you when we retire for the
night…..putting my arm around you and holding you while we
sleep.
I miss calling you during the day…..just so you
know I’m thinking about you.
I miss eating dinner
together and sharing what happened with each other’s day
while we were apart………..and that indescribable feeling of
inner peace that comes from looking at you and knowing in my
heart that you’re my lover, my partner, my best friend.
